You need to use the stock seat rails from the 2006 seats to keep the SRS airbag sensors working and keep the light off your dashboard.

I swapped seats with a guy who had a 2006 (I have his 2006 seats in my car and he put AP1 seats in his car) and we had to swap the seat rails . . . both to make them fit right and to get the sensors to work.

Feel free to PM me or look for my thread I made on it for more info.

I assume you want to put aftermarket bucket seats correct? You can change the drivers seat no problem. you just have to remove a sensor from the factory rail and place it on the floor under the driver's seat. The passenger seat is another story though. That cannot be changed without getting a SRS light. For the 06+ they added a weight sensor that is tied into the factory rails. No way around this. Also if you decide you dont care and change it anyway then your aftermarket rail will have to be modified to fit in the car. There is a hump that they added in the floor of the 06+. Hope this helps.

it turns the airbag off/on, when there are smaller kids in it, or if there is nobody sitting in it. and i think there is a sensor for the drivers seat that determines how close the seat is, and the srs system will adjust the deploy force of the airbag, pretty cool i think

The items "5" and "6" are the seat weight sensors. The seat slides sit atop of these.

The hump is only on 06+?! I thought it was part of the transmission and was on all model years! I've been the passenger in my car a few times, and I'd have to agree with all my passengers that it forces your left foot to have only one position.

Well, that blows. So much for aftermarket seats for me.
