I have an old wheel badge From Rick's that I want to install on my steering wheel of my S. Cannot find any install instructions from Rick and wondered if any of you guys that had put these on your steering wheels had any advise since the fit is not flush?

 

i have one on my steering wheel, but it did not adhere on the edges.
i will get another some day, and my guess is that i had too much vinylex on the black plastic part which kept it from sticking.
i like the badge look, but would sure rather have it sticking!

 

Rick did this quite sometime ago and tested waters with it. However, I believe it was determined to be a safety hazard. If the airbag does blow, that will hit your face along with the bag.

Good point! You don't want to end up wearing the badge on your forehead.

Another possible location for a badge is on the radio cover.

 

Thanks for the input guys, just got my e-mail from Rick on the install directions for the wheel badge on the steering wheel. I realize the risk with the badge in case of air bag deployment, but am willing to take my chances. Just installed the Yellow S on Black badge on my 02 Spa Yellow and it looks great !
