Default antenna was painted over

I guess the guy who has my s2000 before me did not like using the radio. He removed the antenna and painted over it. I have no antenna nor to I have a spot for one to be. What should I do? Take it to honda and have them install a new one? Any ideas? The radio is horrible!

im a little confused as to whats going on...so the previous owner had the antenna and the base for the antenna shaved? if thats the case..i'd say leave it..the s2000 looks a lot cleaner without the antenna.

or

you can pull back on the trunk liner and attach an antenna and put the liner back on...that way you will have reception

I really just want the reception. I'll get reception by leaving the antenna in the trunk behind the liner? It does look a lot better, but I'd like to be able to use my radio.

I'll give that a shot. Is the cable for the antenna on the driver side or the passenger side? Do you know if autozone or napa sells them?

Check on some "Street Rod" web sites. There are some companies that make hidden antennas that get very good reception.

Place the OEM antenna and all the wirings inside the cabin (next to the passenger side seatbelt) for best reception. For a cleaner look, use an aftermarket internal antenna.

Get XM/Sirius and forget about FM.

Just putting the antenna in the trunk should work, but if you want something else, you can also look at getting a windshield with an internal antenna. Replacing the windshield would probably be the same cost as un-shaving the antenna.

Get an internal antenna that attaches to the windscreen. It is not visible.
