Thanks Dliodoir for sharing.
Like I said yesterday, three old ladies in a Plymouth Valiant scored a kill on my S2K yesterday 'cause when we pulled up to a light and they gunned it, I just laid back.
What can I say? I was crazy enough to be out in 15 deg weather, snowy roads, top down. I knew that 3700 cc slant six had too much torque for me to challenge, given the road conditions. Besides, they had Goodyear bias belted tires and I had SO2's. They had me beat on the snow!

When you are not careful, sh*t happens, and you die---or someone else does. Sh*t happens often enough when you are paying attention. You won't get that lucky often. Glad it worked out.

For Flying Pig
Incident 1: Chasing a Camero RS on a windy road. Let him get about 10 seconds up and ran him down (I knew he was pushing it cause he was squealling his tires is some twisties earlier), but I had to do 100+ on semi-twisty road to do it. I realized this was stupid when I looked off to the side and saw a farm with equipment whizing by me.
Incident 2: Some yahoo in a VW Jetta flipped me off because HE changed lanes while I was in HIS blind spot. I got out of the car at the next light and kindly asked why he flipped ME off. He accused me of blocking him.

Dliodoir, thanx for sharing dude. Glad nothing serious happened! Your story would definitely serve as a reminder for me. Occasionally, my competive egotistic side got over me too and you know what happened next... . BTW, I wouldn't share that story with your wife unless you just want hear her VOICE over and over AGAIN...

$100 damage? Be glad, it will take cdn$17000 (us$11000) to fix mine. The mechanic told me that except straightening out the parts of the main frame, everything on the front will be replaced with new ones.
Good thing you walked away from your spinorama. Also, for those of you that ignore this whole cold tires circus because you don't pick races..., I spinned while doing 55mph!!
On the plus side - this car feels in a crash as safe as a tank.

S2WOOOW,
Be just as careful with driver confrontation as you would be with squirrelly high-speed street racing. I've heard several stories of people walking up to another vehicle to confront the driver, only to be shot at close range in "self defense". In the most pertinent case I read, the shooter was vindicated for "defending himself", although the victim was unarmed. I don't wanna get into one of those tiresome anti-gun threads (because I believe in a person's right to be armed and to protect themselves from n'er-do-wells and malcontents) but be very, very careful. There are a lot of genetic defectives running around out there with nothing better in mind than popping a cap into your arse for glancing at them the wrong way. Or maybe I'm just jaded living in South Florida.
Dlio- glad to hear you're OK.

You are exactly right. That is why I felt that it was stupid after the incident. When he flipped me off and was jawing at me, I looked at him, looked at the car and concidered the neiborhood he came from and figured he was harmless, but I still shouldn't have confronted him, looks can be deceiving.
