Another one bites the dust
bought my S2000 earlier this year in the spring, over spring break to be precise. My first car was a beat up '91 N/A Toyota MR2. I saved every penny for a 3SGTE swap. When I nearly had the funds, an opportunity arose to purchase an S2000. I dumped all my savings into it. As of last night I had around 2 or 3 grand left before it was completely paid off.
My license was suspended for my first speeding ticket right before I turned 18, as part of a deal the judge gave so it would not show up on my record. My brother was on his way to pick me up from work, and lost control of the car hitting a brick mailbox and later a telephone pole. The car is totaled, of that I am sure.
I really can't bear the thought of not having another S2000. Assuming the insurance company goes by Kelley Blue Book, and takes at least a "Good" rating for suggested retail, I'll have 18,000 American Dollars with which to get another S2000. There are plenty of 02-03 Berlina Black S2000s within and around TN, but that's not the problem.
It's insurance. We use Traveler's, and we are under some sort of family plan, and since my brother just had another wreck (One two or three years ago resulting in a totaled Sentra) I won't be able to afford insurance. Apparently since this house is still his main place of residence he is still considered for our payments. A sort of "Letter of Exclusion" was mentioned wherein you would consent that he would not be able to drive any of the other family vehicles and would not be insured in them in case of an accident. Does this exist? The wait for an adjuster and insurance premium information is killing me

It sounds like your brother sucks at driving. Different insurance companies have different policies. I would contact your company and look in to this "letter of exclusion" or somehow figure out a way for your brother to get his own plan instead of screwing up yours anymore. If you don't they might end up dropping you all together if there are any more wrecks.

Cold, rainy night on all seasons, with too much confidence in new tires. It's happened to better drivers.
if my bro wrecked my s2k, i'll chip his arse with my 9 millies
well, maybe not but it i probably gonna kick his arse for a while
anyways, i think some insurance company is going by the market value now(aka not going by kbb.com), so if you have 10 02 s2k around selling for 20k a pop, they are gonna pretty much give you that.
sometime it's high than Kbb, but most of the time it's lower.
good luck man, yeah, it's very tail happy, i almost spun out merging to the interstate the first drive home
