Was in the market for a convertible weekend car. Looked at the Z, Z4, Boxster S, MB 350. I'd driven them all but the S2000. I have driven a TT Quattro Coupe for the past 6 years... had 2 of them... and love the German car feel (last 4 cars have been Audi's) However, Audi didn't really have what I wanted. I almost got the Z. Guy I work with who has an S2000 (and probably on this board) said "Drive it". I took one for a drive Saturday. Bought one Sunday. This is one hell of a ride. The Z felt heavy, big. The others I just didn't like that much. I got in the Honda and it fit like a glove. I literally sat in the car, started it, and said this is the car I want.

Anyway, it's a Silverstone with Red/Black leather. My TT is an ALMS with Red leather. I love it.

And, I got one hell of a deal (I think!) I paid 29,600 + tax,Title, License. No trades, just a straight deal.

Happy revvin'!!!

I have pretty much the same story, test drive experiences, and final deal... except my other cars have been Volvos.

I ended up with a sebring silver with red+black interior. Love it. I'm breaking it in very gently.

So far, all the thumbs ups have been from motorcyclists... and that to me, is even cooler.

Yep me too went to Carmax and drove 7-8 cars, thier S2000 was ragged on the inside but I walked away knowing what car I was gonna get and bought one shortly after.
Maybe that's why Honda never advertises the S ?

I bought mine, Sebring Silver with Red+Black interior, on Nov 2003. The first time I ever sit in an S was after I paid for it and love it right away. Never had been inside any S before the day I took delivered of my S.

I have been a honda fan for a long time. This time around, I got a promotiona and was looking for a new car. My search began on internet and I was looking at RX8, 350Z, EVO, STI, S2000. From the paper EVO and STI was on the top of performance list but I am not looking at another sedan. Looking at it RX8 seems to have the best of all, luxury, performance and style. However when I went in and drove it for myself, the S2k was a give me a good price and I take it. Bought mine 2 weeks ago and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! yesterday and today we got the awesome Carolina spring weather and it was just sensational.
