Another Answers of the Day Jalopnik Mention
Jalopnik has listed the S2000 yet again in an Answers of the Day article. This time it came in as number 7 of the 10 Best Cars for IT Professionals, particularly because it is "well-engineered".
I would not have guessed that the S2000 would end up on this list as I've never really pegged it as a "geek" car. That being said, I am an IT professional and I own an S2000 and I love it for its simplicity and purity of form.
Any other IT folks want to chime in on this?

My apologies if this is a repost.

People often refer to me as an "IT guy", even though I am a Communications Tech that just so happens to do a lot of internet/computer related work. So, I guess I also fit this stereotype, haha. The s2000 is just a pure and simple sports car. With a n/a motor that makes 120hp per liter, it is extremely hard not to appreciate the engineering put into this car.

Being in IT myself a lot of this list hardly surprises me; IT people tend to love not fitting in, while not standing out.
S2000 instead of the Miata, or z3/4.
Audi a4 instead of the BMW 3
Yamaha's instead of Suzuki's or Harley's
Sonata instead of the Explorer or CRV.
And the STi sits in it's own category of awesome nerd love, for its own reasons, as their ecu's are a nerds wet dream (though I'd never own one myself).
Only one that I can't quite picture is the G37. At least here in the bay I don't know many IT guys that drive G's; usually tends to be business/financial/real estate people

IT people and car enthusiasts are two entirely separate groups. There is some overlap but being in IT doesn't automatically make you a car person or a car tech enthusiast. Most of my coworkers have trucks or SUV's.
