Default annoying silver thingy behind grill opening

Is anyone else bothered by that silver-looking cylinder (AC condenser?) lurking behind the S2K's mouth? Everything in there is black except that. I shot it with some black high-heat paint and I think the front looks much better now. The paint seems to be staying on, too.

I always thought it looked like a solitary tooth. Covered mine with electricians tape. No miss. No mess.

I used black Rustoleum. Painted that tube thingy too while I was at it.

How does the black look? I've only seen the alloy colored ones.

Yep. Drove me nuts so I had it painted black by my dealer during a service. The front end looks much nicer now you can't see it.

Black grill looks great on the silver as well. It also gives more protection to the condenser and radiator - the openings are a tad large for my comfort ( think small stones, birds etc ). Stencil the S2000 logo on in your car color powder- coated and it looks particularly nice although I am a bit biased
