I'm with you on the seatbelts. I also noticed that mine occaisonally 'lock' as if i were braking, which really pisses me off if I'm trying to turn around, even though I haven't touched the brakes in miles. And I keep spelling "brake" as "break" which is annoying too

I usually tap the brake to cancel the cruise, which I use sparingly anyway.

i never use cruise control so that doesn't bother me...only used it once on my way to asheville and had no reason to turn it off til the cops pulled me over =)

storage space doesn't bother me as the box between the seats is plenty for me. the secret compartment has a felt area for sunglasses and the back part is great for cds...the lower area is good for papers for your car (i.e. registration, insurance etc etc) and still leaves me plenty of room...

what annoys me is a non adjustable steering wheel...i fit fine the way it is but it does allow for much leg movement if i get an itch or want to move my legs around on a long trip.

also the plastic rear window is annoying but i barely drive with the top up so it's not that bad.

the tiny vanity mirrors are annoying and not having one on the drivers side is a pain sometimes.

that's about it for me...love the car still

after reading the article i would have to say the 0-60 time is nice
but with all that power it has slow times cause of traction problems...you have to use racing slick tires which are no good for everyday use to drive it..

my vote goes for the mclaren f1

I never use cruise control and so it's a non-issue. Actually I'm surprised that this feature is available on this car.

I have 00 and the seat belts have not been a problem (knock on wood)

My left hand is always gripping the wheel and since my sleeve length is 32/33, it also a non-issue.

Storage is not an issue since it's not my daily driver.

What does bother me is the fact that I bought a black car. Every friggin speck of dust from my garage and my car cover shows up on the car. I bought the black because I didn't think the Monte Carlo Blue wouldn't make it over here. And since I didn't know how long the production run was going to be I bought the black. Now that the other blue is coming, (which I don't like) I'm wondering if my favorite blue will make it over.

I must be dreaming but none of these things bother me at all. I love my car....I have had zero grinds, grunts, clicks, locking seatbelts or any other issues except the scratched rear window which was cheerfully replaced by my local dealer. Elbow room??? If I wanted elbow room I woulda got a Crown Victoria!! The first impression I ever got sitting in an S2000 was it felt like the Lotus 51B I drove years ago in terms of the seating and wheel placement. OK I have forgotten a lot about that since 1969 but you know what I mean.

I have no grind, no seatbelt issues, no clutch problems, no engine failure and no diff problems.

Seatbelts - I put them on and they work

Cruise Control - Used it coming back from Asheville because I was too tired to push the pedal down!

Elbow room - both hands should be on the wheel at all times.

Glove Box - Sports cars don't need storage space - it all adds weight.

Plastic window - I very seldom drive with the top up.

Honda dealers - Most of my work is done in my garage and at King Motorsports.

HID bulbs - Its a sports car - you need a firm suspension

The car is not perfect, but it is a great car for the money you pay. It also has the makings of becoming a classic from our time. It is one of the purest sports cars on the market and I wish it weighed about 700lbs less. Get rid of the A/C, power top, power locks, radio, power steering and cruise control and it would be a good start.

The car isn't for everyone and that's the way I like it!!

Hmmmm I have several annoyances with this damn car ...

1.) Hot chicks constantly checkin me/my car out.
2.) Hair always messy from going fast with top down.
3.) Cheeks frequently hurt from smiling so much while driving.
4.) Gas expeditures have gone through the roof.
5.) Stay at work longer so there are less cars on the road for my drive home.
6.) No room in passenger seat to give rides to fat chicks.
7.) Sore neck from VTEC'ing EVERY DAMN SHIFT.
8.) I miss lots of informative commercials on the radio, because I turn it off to listen to the 9K RPM'S SCREAM.

I should just sell this pain-in-the-ass car and get a Geo Metro I woundn't have to worry about any of those problems .....

I get annoyed by the bird crap collected by the stook. It seems birds dig pooping on my Zaino-coated red beauty. Maybe it's the reflection, or maybe their hershey squirts are a display of their jealousy of not owning a stook.

I also have a MY2001 and my seatbelts seem to lock pretty quickly. This usually doesn't bug me too much but it has been inconvenient once or twice when I needed to turn around in my seat to see behind me when I back up.

My cruise control works beautifully. It holds speed and the one tap for increasing/decreasing speed by 1mph increment works beautifully. I know, I am a freak because I use the CC alot but in S. CA. I find that it is very helpful for keeping me out of trouble with the law. I get in the carpool lane set it at 73mph and away I go geting great gas mileage until I get off the fwy.

I am torn on the storage issue. I think the two storage spaces between the seats offer plenty of space. My problem is utility. Since I am short, I sit pretty close to the wheel. This makes it a real bitch to get into the center consoles. Again, usually not a problem but if the sun breaks through the clowds, or I need $ for parking, etc. it can be a minor annoyance.

I do agree about the non-tilting wheel. Again, I think it has a lot to do with my height but it is impossible for me to get the 100% perfect driving position in this car. In order to have my seat properly aligned relative to the pedals, wheel, etc. the top of the steering wheel blocks a tiny piece of the tach. Not a big deal, to be sure, because I can get 98% perfect position. I know, I know, I am splitting hairs but any driving instructor worth his salt will tell you how important a proper driving position is.

My problem is complicated, though because I need to back the seat up every time I get into or out of the car. Otherwise I bang the crap out of my legs on the wheel. I would really like a tilt wheel (ala my old Civic Ex). I can't imagine that it would add that much weight and it sure would make a difference to me.

No car is perfect, to be sure, but this little puppy is damned close. Especially when you consider the price of admission.

Having said all of that, I honestly hope Honda does come out with a Type R version of this car.

Give me a little more power. Give me a little bigger and stronger brakes. Give me more aggressive wheels and tires. Give me cloth Recaro seats. Do all of this and I'll be glad to give you back the keyless remote, power windows, spare tire, some sound insulation, etc. Hey, I had manual doors, windows, etc. on my Miata. I loved that simplicty. I think the less weight more good stuff formula would really work with this car.

That's about the only way that I would trade my car in.
