I have an 05' S2000 and am running one of the Amuse R1 Titan single exhausts, no resonator.

This thing sounds great from 5k on up but anywhere under that (normal driving), especially between 3 and 4k the thing is just deafening inside the car. I have heard from other people that the car does not seem all that loud outside (normal driving) but inside with the windows up it is just as loud when you're on the throttle as well as when you let off.

I know the stock exhaust weighs 66lbs and the Amuse is about 9. The Amuse is setup to use 4 of the stock exhaust hangers. Do you think a lot of the droning, boomy type resonance is being caused by the exhaust being held too rigidly? I mean if you grab the can, it is pretty hard to get any kind of movement by pulling on it.

I don't know if the resonated version is much quieter or not.

I have a 96' Civic with a B18C5 motor and tranny swap in it. That car has DC headers and an Apex-I N1 catback. It sounds great, has lots of tone changes as you go through the RPM range and at WOT it is loud. It doesn't have any of the droning like the Amuse does.

I'm just looking for info here. Just for the hell of it I jacked up the car tonight and pulled off the rearmost hanger as well as the one closest to the cat.

Now if you grab the can you can actually wiggle it about a half inch or so.

I could tell as soon as I started it that the noise level in the car was much lower. Drve it and it is quite an improvement. It is actually kind of quiet between 2 and 3k.

Anyway I'm gonna run it for a while and see how it sounds during everyday driving.

Just wondered if anyone else has tried anything different with hangers, or maybe added a resonator.
