Default American Honda Leases are ****not**** transferrable!!! (more)

I checked with 2 different American Honda people at different locations and both say "absolutely no transferring".... that means when people get hooked in at $600 per month... THEY ARE HOSED TO THE END!

I also learned that the early payoff is not the sum of the payments plus the residual....it is less than that!

In all fairness, I could find 2 AHM people at two different locations to tell me that 2002 is the last year of production for the S2000.

I think a simple read of the lease contract should answer it definitively.

No problem. I was more pointing out that one should not go on the word of AHM people alone.

Ya, when you big time IBM Mother ****ers lose your jobs, go get yourself a 3 bedroom voucher and I may be interested in letting you stay in one of my suites....

YA YA YA...the leases are not transferrable....but someone here said they were at some point....

Ummm, I'm not so sure about that. I went through the process to transfer my lease to my father. I had about five conversations throughout the process with three different people and were never informed as this to be true. It wound up being denied, but we weren't surprised due to my father's past credit problems. So you might want to check again.

Hm... I was told by American Honda Finance rep that they were transferrable. Even had the paperwork and everything. OH well, no big deal!

What do you mean by the early payoff being less than the sum of the payments plus the residual?
