Am I insane, or having a love affair with my S2K?

Sounds completely normal to me!
Three days after I took delivery, I was having the alarm and some other "goodies" installed. My wife and daughter gave me a ride to the shop in the sleet and rain to pick her up after the work was completed. When we got home, I naturally needed to get out the hose and rinse off the road dirt, regardless of the weather. By the time I got into the house, after drying her off in the garage, everyone was having a good laugh as my daughter was telling the other kids that "dad's really lost it".
I used to make up excuses just to go out to the garage to look at her. (Honesty time here...sometimes I still do)
My wife has even made some crude comments regarding her hopes that I'm "protected" during my visits to the garage.

No, How 'bout this. I don't even have mine yet and I spend every free moment on this board. My PC wallpaper is a beautiful shot of a Stook on a hilltop. My PC at home has a Stook screen saver. My sweetie's pic is on a credenza. It's going to get worse when the stook arrives. I figure a week just to get 10 or 20 coats of Zaino Z2 on her.

You guys are nuts!!! Actually, I'm envious. I wish I had the time to detail my car often. 1Y2KS2K has seen S2WOOOW at it's dirtiest. Bug riden, dust covered. My daily drive to work is through dusty farm roads. I wouldn't be surprised if I have the dirtiest S2K around. But when it's clean, it loooks goood.

You're not alone! I've got the same feelings for my car. I wash it once a week, never drive it in the rain and God forbid I park it any where close to another car! My poor daughter is ready to kill me for screaming at her everytime she walks between my car and her Mom's when they are parked in the garage, "don't put your finger prints on the car! Don't lean on the car! Don't breathe on the car....!" Get my drift? Insane.
