Smile Am I crazy?

So I bought my car salvaged, it works great, but there's one problem : I keep finding new scratches all the time. Now for a normal person that wouldn't really be much of a problem, just battle scars, right?

Well I'm about to CRACK, I constantly look at them, and try to cover them, and now I've even started buying new panels to get rid of them.

But now it's gone too far -- I've been considering replacing my whole dash because of a cut near the A/C controls!

Help!

you bought salvaged, so you bought used in one form or another, i think you are crazy to buy a used car and get upset when things are scratched, ripped torn etc.

the whole car is a wear item. i have dings, scratches, scrapes, marks, etc. on my car, but it's not because i'm abusing or neglecting it. enjoy it, take care of it, and don't drive yourself crazy when things happen that are beyond your control.

...but! i know how you feel...

The car was slashed open by thieves, so it's really just the interior that was damaged, everything else is like new. The car had 6,000 miles.

Give it time...I used to be paranoid about getting rock chips and tiny scratches when mine was new. Now the car's 7+ years old, and I don't worry nearly so much about little things like that.
