looking back at this makes me think of how mitsubishi welded that aluminum roof on the evo RS and MR

They put aluminum roof and fenders on the new SE's as well.

they invented a whole new process to engineer that aluminum roof onto the Evo.

It's more of a folding action than actually welding it on there. it gets technical.

it's interesting like the M3 having carbon fiber roof.

I think if s2000 had aluminum hood, fenders and trunk and aluminum suspension components like the Evo, it'll just be the most amazing little roadster on the street (due to the enormous weight loss).

Evo's hood is lighter than s2000's.
