Per Honda our cars have "several" aluminum body parts. Does anyone know what other body parts are aluminum besides the hood?

Of the actual body, it is only the hood. Honda might be very technical when saying several body parts by including the shift knobs or the wheels...by the way, where did you see that statement anyways?

none that i have found that are actual external body panels....those seem to be either steel[thin!!] or plastic...perhaps there are internal non-structural bits in aluminum but i haven't found them...yet...and they would have to be bolt-ons as you can't weld alum. to the steel unibody...[could they mean things such as the radiator cores and the like??]

Thanks for the response guys. I liked the sound of "several aluminum body parts" (A8) more than the educated answer that you gave me.

Well, most of the engine is aluminium. That's pretty cool isn't it?

Quick way to find out....take your every day magnet and figure out what it "sticks" to on the car. Whatever is metal and it doesn't stick, take a guess at what it's made of.

Seems to be the trend today. Several threads from years of old.
