Is there anyone that can tell me what color wire from the car goes to which color wire to an alpine head unit??

There was a pioneer HU in there before, so I took it out, took off the harness, and am having a helluva time figuring out which wire goes where. If I match them by color, I don't get power or anything, so that can't be it. I don't want to buy DCI yet, I don't want to buy a factory harness, so am I screwed? Am I missing something REALLY OBVIOUS or WHAT!? Thanks!

I did, and I can't get a straight answer. Need to hit up the masses.

 

Look at the manual for your Alpine and look at the wiring diagram for the factory harness in your car. Match them up based on function, not color.

 

No manual... and I don't know what the function is of the honda wires being that they aren't labeled.
