I'm at 5K miles and my rears look like MAYBE I'll get 7 or 9K. But I already notice significantly less traction in the rear. Maybe I'm just driving more agressive after 5K miles but I'd swear the dry grip is down. This is after about nine Auto-X's and only a dozen or so extra spinning launches so maybe heat cycling is the issue. I know the tires get pretty hot during our usual three runs.

Don't risk a wreck -- my rears went much faster than the fronts and I waited too late ... $8,500.00 of damage plus an additional $1,000.00 for four new SO-3's ... buy the tires now ... the rear gets really unpredictable in wet conditions (if the tires are worn). The SO-3's are not, in my opinion, for racing .. but in Arkansas and Tennessee we have so much rain, etc. that it was a no brainer to get the SO-3's. I never "race" anyway.
