My time has come to replace the rears too! The mileage is currently around 10,100 miles. So my worn down self created Mickey Thompson's have got to go! Especially in the rain !! By the end of this month the S will have some new rear SO2's!!!

In reading the posts I felt it was getting close to my time as well(9k+). So on my service visit last week I had them check the ware. The results were about 50% left.

Before I got my new S-03's, I only replaced the rear S-02's and the car was fine. . .no problems!

Just get the new ones for the rear!

I replaced my rear tires at 8000, and I am about to replace all four tires (they are ordered, and will be here shortly) at 15,500 miles.

Am I reading correctly that some of you are getting 15k on the rears and twice that on the fronts .
Check out my pics. . .

That's the rear S-02 with alittle over 12k miles!

I drive my car at least 25 days a month down Paterson Pass road and all its corners. I currently have 9878 miles on mine and Tracy Honda said I have about 50% ware so far on the rears.
I just recently hit 10,000 miles. I'm guessing that they'll be in better condition than airgate's slick S-02s at 12K+ miles but not by much. AmigaOS, I'd like to see your tires with almost 10K miles on them -- I just can't imagine them still having 50% left on the tread.

I have never done any clutch drops but I am guilty of breaking the rear tires loose 3 or 4 times. Most of the miles on the car are "freeway miles" with a couple of hard drives on backroads (Tesla Road/Corral Hollow Road and Altamont Pass Road).

I have 10K and mine are worn just a bit more. Waiting on some feedback on the S03's. Not sure yet what I'm going with.

Wow! I think you went a little too far on those tires. Mine might have made it to 12k if I drove on the steel like that. Ouch, that is dangerous my friend.

As far as why we all get such different mileage out of our tires, there are a lot of things that factor in. I was just surprised at how many miles some you are getting, and since tires are so expensive, I wanted to know your secrets for getting so many miles. You must be putting a lot of highway miles on your car is the only thing I can figure. I am not one to drop the clutch, but I do drive aggressively and I have made the back end lose traction several times.
