Learn how to drive the car better (autocross or track school would be a good starting point) and replace the tires.

Oh, and get your car aligned to UK specs. A little toe-in in the rear works wonders.

Did you figure out if it was the car or the tires? Because we know it wasn't the driver.

I think that you were going too fast for the conditions, but another factor would be temperature. If you are drriving on summer tires in the cold, you can expect to slide.

I thought all S2000 alignment specs called for some negative camber in the rear?

My USDM S2000 definitely has some negative camber and it's 100% factory suspension and tire size.

They do, the UK spec just calls for more. Besides, I was referring to toe, which isn't the same as camber.

Additional negative camber will help the car be more stable in cornering, but toe-in in the rear makes the rear much more stable on corner exits.

Jesus, there is no getting to you is there? Full tread doesn't mean anything. Full tread with the tires rotating in the wrong direction is still full tread. Full tread on my Falken RT-615ks doesn't mean sh*t in the wet. The tread design just doesn't lend itself to the wet.

Learn how the car handles in the wet and drive accordingly. Once you learn to drive it, the s2000 will reward you for your efforts.
