Almost had a fock it moment...
So for the past 3 months Ive been salivating over the amuse gt1 kit. I finally saved up enough for the deposit and i had everything ready to go and I pussed out! I need some convincing on buying this kit. 6K is alot to spend for a kit, + rims and tires + the intsall i figured by the time im dont ill be in at around the 12k mark. Car is already back to stock, I took off the cf fenders and the wheels and ditched the ARC intake to fund this project. Like I said I have enough for the down payment but chickened out at the last second. HELP

I was actually in the same situation and I still havent justified spending that type of money on the kit. Its still weighs heavily on my mind though and I might still go through with it. Kit+ paint+ install + wheels + more power= me broke and eating cup of noodles! lol
I heard that BRS auto is actually releasing a widebodykit for the S so I might hold out for that. we'll see though

Well, you asked for opinions, so here is mine. I like the Amuse setup but....
Why spend that much on body panels you dont need???
Unless your car is an all out show car, or an all out race car, the benefit does not match the financial burden!
You will never get your money back out of mods, so unless you have money to burn and this is what you want to burn it on, I say use the $$$ somewhere else.
Buy a sweet HD home theatre, or a motorcycle, or a cool beater car like an old Miata or GTI.
If you are set on modding the S2000, do a bunch of cool subtle mods for about half the price: nice wheels, alcantara interior from Cyclon, a nice diffusor or an Amuse R1 bumper, and some awesome coilovers! That would be the perfect S for alot less!
If you want to be responsible, take the money, put it in a mutual fund and dont touch it for 20 years. Then send a kid to college with it, or buy a brand new 2027 S2000.

I wouldn't be able to stomach that either. $12K is too much money too put down on a kit unless you're going for sponsorship/mag shoots/car show trophies etc. I'd go with boost if you HAD to spend the money and sack away the change.
