My S02s have just a bit of tread wear left and my tail wiggles on straight-a-ways.

It's fun to kick out the tail with these tires but I don't do it cause the kicking out is easy but being able to catch or even catching it in time is a different story.

Drive safe man.

I don't advocate driving dangerously. I agree sliding is dangerous, but if you spend the time to learn in a safe environment like a parking lot or a clear intersection turn, I think you can benefit others because you'll be a better driver from understanding the behavior of this car and thus know how to react when the rear end slides out on you.

haha guys relax i wont be bi#ching and moaning here when i crash my S in teh rain.. lol
back when i was younger i took my 95 M3 w/ super slick michelin mxx3 tires to rainy VIR track often and had TONS of fun. really learned a huge deal about car control, induced oversteer, and much more.
i love cars and have experienced many many nice cars at their limits.. i'm nto sayin im a guru or anythin like that but it's nice to know beforehand what the limits of your car is.
drive safe all!!!!

If you are freaked out, this is why I'd recommend find a open parking lot and experience what its like when the rear end comes out. It scared the crap out of me the first time, but I think I'm better prepared for it now.

DON"T try it if you have no clue what you need to do to control it. Take it easy
is there any violation/law against driving "wrecklessly" in a parking lot? i wouldn't want to go "test the limits" of my car in a parking area if the cops are gonna write me up for it

Haha, not quite in the rain, but after a couple years the S-02's tend to harden up a bit and lose their grip. Found this out today when I turned a 3 point turn into a 180 with a little throttle

yes i want to know answer as well. when i got the s i immediately went to my local UA theater lot where theres tons of open unused space and induced oversteer. with not much torque you have to break the rear end free whilst turning then it's ok after that to feather throttle and keep the wagging going. chews tires tho....i return to that lot quite often.

i don't like s02, much prefer s03. better in rain d/t high void ratio. awesome stiff sidewall. can't wait to put them on the s2k and my c32 next yr. i have them my spyder and they corner like on rails.
