Just so you know, if you buy a second beater-type car for cheap with the S, you will be placed in a higher age bracket with lower payments if the beater is listed as your daily. My friend did this back when we were 20 when he got his first NSX - bought a 93 Vigor with it for just that purpose and ended up paying $160/mo for both cars.
But I sold the crx because it came around to register it and it wouldn't pass emissions, and I didn't want to put anymore money in it. I was able to keep the S as a pleasure vehicle, because I carpool with my gf to work. As long as I give them the mileage every time they ask for it.
BTW - I'm with All state. 27. Clean record. Less than $100 a month for full coverage. It was a lot cheaper when I had the other car and my house on the policy, but I have since sold my house and moved into my gf's house, so I lost the multi-line discount.

I got a friend who work for Mercury Insurance.
He gave my gf a quote with the matching coverage as her State Farm (444/6mos for 99 Camry LE) and his quote to her is 236/6mos.
So that hella better than State Farm.
So the Alien wins. hahah
She is a ONE WAY Insurance.
He told me that if I lend her my car and she crashed the car, I will be the one paying for it, because one-way doesnt not cover other people car. He said only if you have FULL-Coverage then you can drive other people car and you can use your insurance to cover the car when an accident happen.
He also told me that COSTCO is the cheapest insurance, no matter how much discount he gave to his friend, Costco still beat him by 100 buck.
Membership for costco 50buck. If you save more than that from their insurance then it pays for itself, plus you have benefit of cheap gas too. hahhahhaa
Costco min coverage start @ 100grand... So the coverage is VERY GOOD!!!!
I say you all should check out costco.
I got an accident long ago, so they won't let me in until 3yrs has pass by. So I'll be looking forward to Costco in May 2008. hahha

As long as you have permission to drive the vehicle and you haven't signed for a policy where you're specifically excluded, you're covered under his policy.
Even more so if you live in the same household.

from reading all this, this is what i concluded:
My insurance policy will stay with my Civic EX Sedan, and i will tell my dad to buy the s2000, and insure it under his name.
but, i will be driving the S2000.
if "I" get into an accident, it will be covered because my "dad" has insurance on the car. is that correct?
I live in troy, michigan, if that helps any. and i'm 20, as I stated above.
