I talked to my Honda rep yesterday and she told me that they will most likely continue producing the vehicle for as long as she can see. She also stated that there will probably be very minor to no changes for an '03 except for a color possibly. So for all who were worried about buying an '02 because you thought the '03 may be drastically different, I wouldn't worry too much. But, let's keep our fingers crossed that this is true.

A standard line. Auto companies do not let their plans out ahead of time, unless there is some advantage to do so.

I'm sorry. Let me rephrase that. I work for a Honda dealership and talked to our Honda rep yesterday who informed me as to "what's going on". She hinted that there may be some major changes for the '04 model which would be the 5th year so possibly the new generation. But she was not definite...or at least wouldn't tell me.

Based on honda's typical model lifespan's, I'm sure her speculation is just that... speculation... every two years they seem to change a front bumper and/or tail lights on a model, and every 4 or 5 the whole car gets a revamp.... the Accord is overdue (but it got a new front bumper)

A friend told me Honda had stated that before 2005, all the model line in North America will replace VTEC with I-VTEC, that is the biggest change I can assume, other then that, I don't tink there are any change will happen.

Well, as far as her "speculation" goes, there will be a 2nd generation S2000.

I'd be very amazed if there wasn't. It has timeless styling, great demand, put's something sporty in Honda's dealer window, and has been a money maker since the 6th month of production according to the boss.

I think the s2000 will be like the NSX. They when keep making it without much change. Also why are people so wishing for I-Vtec? It will total change the charactor of the car. Compare the ITR vs the RSX type S. ITR, fun, feel the vtec kick it. RSX type S, borning, its fast but where is the sports car feel.

Come on guys, there will be some drastic changes in the '03....They will probably put in IVTEC for a flatter torque curve, maybe a glovebox (yeah right), bigger tires and rims (17 inches)

I am thinking about 260 to 270HP 2.0 or 2.2 liter IVTEC...

Increase the price of the S2000 to 35K.
