is there anyway to find out which one i have? like any visible changes from the ap2 v1 and ap2 v2?
Yes, however it is very discreet so it may be hard to see. Look at the projector lense, do you see any fine lines on it? If so, it is the fresnel. Is it very clear? If so you have an 04-05.

yes, i see fine lines... they're going around the lense in a circular shape.

looks like this, except it's on a sphere

so this is an 06-07?

Yes.

like this: (these aren't s2k projectors but are fresnel, look closely for the lines)

However, get any year ap2 headlight since you have that one, aesthetically they are the same.

Beam pattern will be the same afterall it's a projector. The advantage to the fresnel lenses are that there is less flickering. I am guessing other drivers have complained about the flickering on uneven roads since it looks like the person behind them is flashing them. Clear has a sharper cutoff.

I don't think it would be something most people would notice but if you can, sell your headlight and get 04-05 headlights, sharper cutoff

so the 05-06's are actually a downgrade in some aspects.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that. Whoever greenlighted the idea that all projectors must now be fresnel was looking out for the majority. Honestly, only if you're a nut, you will notice the difference.

:cough: Anuj :cough:... lol.

So basically the only difference that you are saying is that the 04-05 have a sharper cutoff at the top of the light beam?
