Alignment Issues
Hey guys, I just need some info. regarding negative camber. My car recently got aligned about lets say 3 months ago. I've been noticing that the right rear is more negative than the left rear. I don't know if its just me but when I am making a left turn, I can feel that my right rear flexes a little like somewhat of a body roll (not major but noticable). Do you guys have any idea? Before I forget, I have coilover for my suspension, do you think that the coilover on the right rear is messed up or just the alignment? I bought the coilover about 3 months ago and did my alignment and corner balancing.
Thank,
Rod

I got my car align by one of the best alignment shop at Orange County. Darin Nashimura @ WESTEND, and yes I still have the specs sheet.

Sorry, can't do that right now since I am currently at work. I will when I get home today.
Basically, I just wanted to know if that is normal having the right rear to be a littlbe negative than the left. Feeling wise on turns....

I always have my cars aligned with me in the driver's seat. This way, you can have the left and right settings set with your body weight accounted for on the left side. (I normally drive this car alone since I have a SUV to haul folks around with)
This especially comes into play on light cars, like the S2K. Most people's body weight can account for up to 5-9% of this car's vehicle weight. The car should not feel significantly different from left to right unless there is something wrong.

I got my car aligned and corner balanced with me in the car. For a few months, everything seems fine until now. I just feel that everytime I take a left turn, the right side seems to be not as reponsive, and a slight body roll compaired to the left side. That's why I am thinking that it's the alignment.... Maybe bumps on the road altered the settings or maybe just me! I just basically need to confirm from you guys if alignment can play a factor on my cars current performance.

Yes, different camber settings in the rear can cause the rear end to feel loose (twitchy). It did for me too. So I took my car back to have them align it exactly to specs (not within tolerances) listed in my owners manual on page 188. What a difference! It's well balanced and handles beautifully now. As mentioned earlier, make sure that you or someone else of similar size is sitting in the driver's seat. It makes a big difference in camber settings. Also, remember there are 60 minutes in a degree. So minus 1 degree 30 minutes equals -1.5 degrees, not -1.3 degrees.
