Default Alarm light LCD location

Those of you that have car alarms installed where did you have your LCD's installed. I did not want to drill into the dash. I already put holes in the drivers side column when I mounted a shift light and I was thinking of mounting it somewhere there. Ideas?

Thanks
Joe

Son't install it. Leave the radio door open because you already have an LED there.

Seriously I couldn't think of a good place to put one. Let us know if you think of something.

Mine was installed on the center console. It's toward the drivers side and maybe a couple of inches aft of the center line that runs through the power top and hazard light switches. It's easily visible to anyone who looks inside the car and completely out of the way of my shifting arm.

Hope this helps & Drive Safe,
Steve R.

I've heard ppl put them on the a-pillar so its visible, and they can simply replace the plastic cover for less money than a center console piece if the remove the alarm later.

You do know that the stock location for the OEM alarm is mounted in the Gauge Cluster right? It is below the speedo. I am sure you could use that will just a little mod or two.

Question

Since I already drilled to A pillar maybe I will mount it there. The install tech said he did not want to drill into the dash and I was not going to install but the community where I live is experiencing a rash of car break ins. For some reason my car has not been hit. They are stealing radios and vehicles. Guess its a good thing I still have to stock POS radio I am more worried about the seats however I do have the Matrix 3.5 plus DEI prox. with responder remote so I will be responding with my Sig in the event I get a page but I would like to do by best to prevent my top from being cut or my windows broken! I believe they are breaking the windows to gain entry...Any other prevention you suggest? I also put the stickers on my windows tongiht for the alarm which I was not going to put on but last night was I believe the third string of multiple car break ins in the community!

In my 03, I put the LED right above, and to the right of the climate control function knob.
Do you park your car on the street?
Did u get a proximity censor installed? I have one on my alarm and it is driving me nuts, the warning ring it makes goes off for no reason all through the night.

Windows and roof down will stop them getting broken.
Have you got some Seatlocks?
I would put the LED in a visible spot, but maybe not the A pillar. If you put it there people may think it has something to do with a shift light or something else rather than an alarm.
