Default AHHH 3am Detailing and I find This!

To make a long story short i bought a BRAND NEW set of OEM 05 wheels and tires from honda. So i took my car to the dealership i usually deal with to get an alignment .The only miles on these tires and wheels are the drive to and from the Dealership to get my 4 wheel alignment(Tires and wheels not bought from same dealership the alignment was done. I got the work done on thursday and I'm outside waxing her and i notice THIS:

This is how new they are This is the plastic still on the rims

I calling first thing in the morning.
I highly doubt i did this...

Anyone have any experience like this what was the outcome?

I don't know what they exactly do when they perform a digital 4 wheel alignment, but i'm pretty sure when they measure caster and camber they put something along the outside of the wheel

Debating if i should just show up instead of calling

this is the reason why i check every inch of my car before driving off from the dealer. i even check under my front lip to see if they added more scratches or ripped a piece of it off. good luck with that

The way it usually works is, they deflate the tire most of the way so they can get the measuring devices on the wheel. Yes they do directly touch the wheel. Each device has 4 "fingers" that grab the lip of the wheel. However, unless you're really careless, it's tough for me to imagine how that sort of damage could be done in the process. On the other hand, that's obviously not curb damage. So. Take it back and see what they say.. good luck!
