just wish honda would have placed the k20 in the AP2. nice seeing the mugen RR beating the S2K, just hopefuly means the next roadster they will produce (when they decide it is worthwhile) will be even more potent.
just wait for Design Craft Fabrication to finish their ivtec bolt on for the s2k and our f20 will be just like if not much better than the k series

I always wondered why they never raced the cr vs the mugen rr. Wouldn't that be a better match up, the best variation of each respective models against each other ? also in before there's no cr in japan.

The jdm equivalent of the s2000 cr, the s2000 type s, still lost to the Civic Mugen RR. The jdm s2000 cr also lost to a "regular" Civic type R. According to this video at least.

I still like the s2000 better though

with all the advances made in the area of FWD performance in the past ten years im not suprised. just be glad in knowing it took honda ten years to beat the S. If honda was actively updating the S from a performance standpoint over the years it would eat the Mugen RR

No wonder. The S2000 driver has 'Nissan' plastered on the front of his helmet!

exactly my point, by incorporating the vtc technology from the k-series into our f2xc and it should be much better i hope

that would be nice, more power without more weight never hurts. although the big thing on the S that needed work was handling and cornering. it seems that all the adjustments honda made to the S from a suspension standpoint were setup to make it easier to drive, IE more understeery and softer riding. even the CR is set up to understeer. if honda went allout with the s2k's suspension and tires it would be amazing and more than a match for anything FWD.

The CR is not the same as the Type-S.
The reason it doesn't make sense to compare the CR or a CTR is because the CR is only available in the US and the CTR is only available in Japan. Thus the comparison would only help those who, for some reason, need bragging rights and not the people looking to buy a stock car to take to track days.

What i think that sucks is that the MSRP for the mugen civic is 30K and Msrp for a s2000 is 34K. So 4k less u get a faster car.

But whatevers i still like the s2000 way more cause in the end its still a civic.

The Mugen Civic is not the Civic Type-R Mugen RR.
