I don't think this is robbins... unless robbins is supllying them with the tops. But I don't see anything that indicates that. Also this company is offering a 5yr warranty where Robbins is offering a max 3yr
The auction link says "Brand: Made by Robbins Auto Tops." So the ebay guy is a distributor...but I wonder how can he offer a better warranty than the manufacturer?

A local just installed this top from ebay. Turned out excellent We actually have four more people ordering direct from the guy and are going to have a top install day.

Here's the one without the defrost:

Can't tell that it's not stock except for the glass part.

No, it's the same size as the factory one with the glass back only it doesn't have a defrost in it. The kit comes with the stuff to modify the frame to make it work with the glass top. I think the "mod" is only a few extra straps that pull it a different way. The guy goes by the screen name "decker." I don't know if he's on s2ki though.

Hello,
I am the guy selling Honda S2000 tops on Ebay, i see some questions that would like to post answers to.
For the warranty issue, Robbins offers only 3-year warranty, balance of the warranty is covered by my company topsonline.com, all you will need is a copy of your original invoice.
As far as me being Robbins, no, I am not Robbins Auto top Co. but I am a distributor for Robbins, Robbins does not retail products; all Robbins products are sold true distributors.
Glass window top information: when you purchase top and glass window for years 2000 & 2001, You will receive the modification kit for conversion, modification kit includes few fasteners and few nylon straps, you will need to install the straps on your existing top frame and then install glass window top.
If you have a 2002 & up model? You just purchase the top with glass that

^ This is true if you go on the Robbins auto top website they only list distributors yet they do not sell directly to the consumer. Everything sounds legit, I am about to purchase one this friday. I've been emailing him (VIC- i suppose) with questions through ebay as well. The top looks fantastic.

Cyclon36- did you use the PDF instructions for the top removal/installation from a post on this website or did you use a different one? How long did the tops take you guys to change out? the pdf instructions said 10 hours, but the dirrections dont look too hard so im hoping maybe 8 at most.

hey that car looks JUST LIKE MINE! heheehehehe, yeah thats my car.

The instructions say 10hours, give it 20 if its your first time. if your experienced you can probably do it much sooner. There is some frame modification done and the documentations are pretty sparse. Also the includes these "button easy-rivets" that you don't use (cause i don't have a tool for it) and i'd rather use smaller nuts and bolts. So it took me about 2 days total (including jacking around etc). Its still a little tight after a few weeks install but its stretching nicely and looks great.

Topsonline is basically giving you the deal of a lifetime. I paid $450 with $30 shipping and i have a brand new glass top that looks gorgeous. I'll be doing a step-by-step on this mod since there's a couple times i had to re-rivet the "modifcations" and a few steps that weren't included.

All in all, i'd say that its the best money i spent and you should get it before topsonline realizes he's giving these things away!

if you guys want to ask any questions you can shoot me directly at nico.darrow AT gmail DOT com

Hey, I sent you an email, but then I just realized that it would be more helpful to everyone to keep the questions on here.

You said it has been a few weeks and is still stretching. Are you able to put the top down now though it is tight and still stretching? I remember reading on Robbins site that you need to leave the top up for 24-48 hrs before putting it down.

also... is there anyone in PA that is interested in doing this with me who needs a new top? They are having an install day in Georgia, maybe we could do one in PA.
