After 3 yrs, I'm getting another S!
Hi all,
I had a Sebring/red 03 which I sold in 2006.. always missed my S, and now that I have a subie legacy manual DD I want a 2nd car. I was looking at a bunch of cars, but I always seem to come back to the S2000.
It is unusual for me to buy a model I've owned already, but there is just something special about S2000. Besides, no other sports car can fit 2 of my golf bags.
I'm looking at a used 2004 AP2, and hopefully will keep it for a long time. My concern though is, would it be OK to get a S2000 with more than 45k miles? I sold my S2000 with 34k miles and it had never given me an issue. However, after 50k miles, are S2000s still reliable?

You will find there are a couple members on the board that have over 150k and claim their motors are still running strong. I might be mistaken, but i am almost positive there is someone at 200k or higher. I myself am at 70k and it is doing just fine. Long story short, a 50k vehicle is nothing. Hell, you are just getting it broken in!

I'm the third owner (who knows what the car's been through). I bought the car with 64,462 miles and it now has 79,700 miles on it. It has seen a drift event, an autocross, 3 track days, a drive from Texas to California, and several 6 hour drives from my city to Dallas Ft Worth and back. Not a single problem so far. Of course, you have to take good care of the car though.
