AEM CAI BPV, easy to pop in and out?
#2
it's not esay, but it's not hard. I'm assuming you had it installed by someone else. So the installer might have cut your CAI piping (at least they cut mine). You just loosen the screws that hold the bypass vavle in place, and slide it off the piping. Take the rubber sleeving that came with the CAI or the factory one (it connected the intake to the throttle body), and use it to join your piping. That's what I did.
I don't think you'll run into problems if you take the bypass valve off as far as suckin up water. as long as you aren't trying to turn the car into a boat, you are cool. I mean, if I see standing water, I go around it, or find another way. Not worth taking the chance. Bypass valve or not. but hey, it's your car, the decision is yours to make good luck!
