Advice needed :(
Hi guys/gals,
Quick one, How much do you pay on insurance?
basically I really, really want an s2000 and can afford one but the cheapest insurance quote I can find is £2500 per 10 months... this seems a hell of a lot , I am 23 by the way. so do I go for it and pay that much out of my 22k a year job wages... or wait a few years until I am 25, and will then fully be qualified and on around 26k a year basic, and can more reasonably afford one?
One part of me is saying I have to have one, but another saying , dude thats not ok for you right now!
So anyone else here as young as I am and own one? (please say no) lol

30 yrs old, I pay $313/6 months for full coverage with the S thru State Farm. It helps though that I have a multi-line discount. I have my house and 2 other cars with them also.
I'll tell you like this. Get it if you can afford it. Meaning if something major was to happen, you are able to have extra funds to cover that. Not just in relation to your car, but everything else if you understand what I mean. It might feel awesome to have such a great car, but it kinda sux as well if your living paycheck by paycheck to cover all your bills and not be able to put some money aside. This is just my own personal outlook, you can take it leave it.

Wow Nemi!!! That is pretty insane. I have to ask, how the hell can you afford such a high premium at your age? I'll be honest, I dont think I could even get myself to pay that even if I could afford it. Anyways, I'm glad your enjoying the car.

- Paying it 100% up-front.
- Im only insured for 4,000 miles per year (its only a weekend car anyway)
- Adding 2 parents as second drivers on the policy (this dropped it loads)
- Hi excess
This isn't ideal, but it's worth it for the car.
