advice on maintenance and appraising a high mileage(185k) 03 s2000
hello everyone.
i am not sure where to post this thread and if it is in the wrong place i apologize.
i am the second owner of 03 s2000 ive owned for more than 15 years. it is my personal favorite color combination, white with tan interior. i traveled nearly 200 miles a day and ended up putting 165k miles on the car over the years i used it. about 8 years ago i moved into an apartment that i couldnt park two cars at and i parked the car at my parents house and non oppd it. i intended that to be temporary but that turned into 8 years.
the car has sat for 8 years outside, under a car cover but still outside. there are many cosmetic imperfections, like scratches in paint etc, that come with having a car on the road as much as i did. there is a small dent on a fender from a parking lot that no one admitted to,
the soft top was replaced right before i parked it and has no problems. i replaced the clutch at 180k miles. the leather seats are good, the dash is good, everything is is fine inside.
i am considering selling the car and i have no idea how to value a car like this. the market for these cars seems to be pretty insane, but most of the cars for sale are pristine. i was looking for any input at all from anyone as to what might be a fair asking price.
i appreciate any one taking the time to read and especially respond.
thanks

What is the mileage? You state you put 165k on it and replaced clutch at 180k.
If you want to maximize your lot, I bet you can get it in pretty good shape with not that much effort. Change all fluids, get a new battery and start her up. Clean up the car, maybe even polish it if you have that type of equipment. If that all goes well, you could even put some new tires on it and sell it for normal market value.

Similar to mine... MY03 GPW Tan, 132k miles.
Mine is pretty mint tho... all oem/stock, very well maintained (all fluids, always, new genuine clutch, etc.), very good paint/trim (I polished it when I got it), very good interior, no dents, clean title, all vins intact except rear bumper (previous owner replaced it), etc.
Have no idea what mine would be worth tho. I don't think that much, since it's high mileage.

Highly desirable color combination but parked outdoors for 8 years? Does it even run? That would be the first concern. No point in asking questions about "value" unless and until it's running well. Where is Mom's house, in the desert or on the seacoast?
