Default Adjusting Headlights

I have had no real luck other than the European how-to on adjusting the headlight angle. I think mine are a little low and I wanted to know if anyone knows the exact way to do it and how to measure the height and angle? I checked the manual too, no luck.

im confused.. are you asking if there is a correct way to check the alignment, or how to adjust it?

Sorry for the confusion. Actually both. I think they're low, but it may just be me. If they are, I don't know how to adjust them.

Car must be on level surface.
Correct tire pressure.
Weight of driver should be in driver's seat.
Clean headlight lens.
Park in front of flat vertical wall. The center of the lens where the projector beam passes through is to be exactly 25 ft. from the wall.
Measure the height of the same spot on the headlight lens to the ground (perpendicular distance).
Transfer this height to the wall.
The bottom edge of your headlight pattern should be 2.1" below the measured line.

To adjust, look inside the hole on each fender in the engine bay. For the driver's side, you'll need to lift out the coolant tank. In the hole and behind each headlight, you will see a knurled knob with a slot at one location. Put a flat screwdriver into this slot to rotate the knob in the desired direction to change the headlight beam elevation.

Thanks xviper. Just to clarify, the line pattern of the light should be 2.1" below the height of the center of the actual headlight to the ground? Also, should the two patterns from both lights be staggered or level with each other. I'm just asking because I remember someone saying something about them being staggered.

BTW, I think we should add this to the DIY thread.

That is correct. The bottom edge of BOTH lights should be at the same level. Because the pattern of the headlights are notched, you don't need to make one lower than the other.

Since your title is "forum jackass", you may be able to appreciate this comment...

Please explain a horizontal wall because I've been calling them floors and ceilings for my whole life
