I know there is a ton of threads on innitial oil consumption . Just doublechecking .
Also V-TEC feels weaker after I added the 10w-30 oil . This is strange and complete opposite to what you would expect .(maybe just coincedence and is because of bad gas or something ? )

I went through 2-3 quarts during my first 3,000 miles. Don't be worried. Just keep checking your oil at every fillup and you'll be fine. I used to check my oil every morning before I drove to work during my first 5k miles. The consumption should taper off, but I still use oil at 29k. Very normal when VTECing alot.

Don't forget to use non-synthetic 10w-30 when topping it off.

Sounds normal. I used two quarts in first 3,600 miles - when I did the first oil change. Runs sweet; not to worry, if you check it with every gas fill up.

I went through about 2 quarts in the first 3,500 and nothing in the next 3,000.

My 2000 Did not burn oil, I have put 1 quart in after 2000 in my 2001 and I think I need another at 3K now.

I'm at 3300 miles and almost at the end of my third quart. It's normal.
