I think that if you have waited this long, you can always wait a little bit longer. I think that with everything that you have put together for it, it would be a waste to blow the money on something else.

Dude go with a used Vortech kit for 3000-3300 and pay a friend a couple hundred to put it on. It makes more boost, has more potential, and you'll save 3500 dollars. Then, but some bigger injectors, new pully, EMS, and a hardtop or something. It'll be faster than your plan now and you'll have way more "stuff"

Comptech is overpriced and paying dealer installation fees is ludicrous.

yeh.......SC seems to be the consensus

Good news kind of......Called the dealer up and he said still no news since his inside contact at comptech is out with jury duty or something lol I was like what.....but they are still expecting it to be shipped to them at the end of this week and have not heard otherwise. A 3 week slide and they would have def been notified.

He also assured me that his dealer is one of the biggest comptech dealer and buyers of SCs. They do installs on SCs every week on their acura cars so they get first dibbs at the SCs........maybe the sales guy at comptech was clueless when he said I wasnt on priority list which it sounded like from talking to him on the phone, Will get anothe rupdate tommorow. If it comes this week then the install is done Tues......

By then it will have been close to two months, and the $ is just gone with nothing to show.
What do you mean the $ is gone w/ nothing to show? You still have the $7K! IMO, it's not real fiscally sound to "invest" $7K in a car that's prob. worth $14-15K, and will likely be worth no more (if not less) post-S/C.

But....if you want a S/C, hold out for what you want. It's silly going an alternate route just b/c you can't get immediate gratification. Over the long term, that wait will mean nothing vs. all the time you have to drive it!

ah I think I remember him saying the acura dealer will give him a warranty on something if they install the comptech blower.
The same applies if the S/C is installed at all Honda/ Acura dealerships. Thats why Vortech is out of the question.
