Yo exNSX,
I have the gear ratios listed as 0.971 for 5th and 0.811 for 6th. I call both those overdrives. What is your information? And are you saying you prefer 150+ MPH over 0-60 MPH speed or is it that you want both?

Nothing wrong with 6th. The S2k runs fine without surging at 2k revs and above. 2k revs is almost exactly 60kmh (37.5mph) which is our urban speedlimit in Australia. I drive around town in 6th EVERY day.

I use the 6th gear comfortably from around 40mph up. At that speed the 6th gear has more than enough pull to keep up with the traffic. You have to drop bellow 30mph for the engive to start straining. AT 40mph the car is very comfortable in the 6th gear.

I use 6 in daily driving. 35 MPH and above I shift into it. Saves gas, and its more comfortable.
I have found though that the most comfortable shifts (without jerking) are best done at 4k rpm.
You guys must burn a lot gas if you're only using it on the highway.

For me, 6th gear is used only on limited access freeways where I travel 55 mph or over. Besides, it's so much fun to downshift from 6th to 3rd when you feel the need for speed.
