cars cost money to maintain, they loose value with age. the honda is a great example of a car that costs less to drive over time than most $30,000 cars when new. your car is not high mileage yet, just enjoy and have this conversation in another 30,000 miles and a few years.

Relax OP, your car only looses value if you're considering selling it. Enjoy the next 100k miles. 70k is far from high mileage especially for a honda.

Treat it right, it will treat you right.
+10000 i get very anxiouse too when it comes to my car haha, but i like this quote especially because for the first time i'm gonna keep this one for a long time.

Dont worry, my 02 is about to turn over to 100k in the next 400 miles, which wont take me very long. (although I do have a shortblock with less than 60k on it, and a rebuilt head with oem parts). I feel like the value is going way down the more I drive it, but im not planning on selling it, so its fine! A car is meant to be driven!

Its only a 2000 and you have that low of miles!!! Cudos to you. My o4 has 73000 miles and i go through the same anxiety you do. I am sure you take care of it and will take care of you.
