No, my S2000 doesn't suck, but it sucks sitting here in my office looking out my window at the Comptech building all day long!

Yes, from my office window I have a plain view of the Comptech building here in El Dorado Hills, CA. And to top it off, I have a very good view of this nice, wide, long street that the Comptech guys use just about every 2-3 days to test their cars. I've seen them test three NSXs, four S2000s, and two Mini Coopers (that's right, the new Mini Cooper--I started to see them test a red Mini Cooper with a white roof at least 4-5 months ago, and just recently they added a black Mini Cooper with a white roof to their test fleet). And let me tell you, their NSXs sound great! I wish I had one.

So, it sucks that I only have 599 miles on my S2000, and I have to sit here and watch the Comptech guys fly up and down the street.

Well, it really doesn't suck that bad , but I wish I could be out there with them.

I think I was a bad boy and didn't actually wait until I hit 600 miles to go to redline. I think I only had 594 miles on the car at the time. I was taking a friend for a ride and just couldn't resist.

Only 1 mile from VTEC land . . . I actually took the long way to work today just to put on extra miles and try to get over 600, but it started getting late, and I had to get to work.

I pulled up in the parking lot at the 599 mile mark. You're right, I can't wait for that drive home! Although, I'll probably still take it easy for the next 400 miles or so and gradually increase my shift points when driving aggressively (maybe 6.5K at 600 miles, 7K at 700 miles, 7.5K at 800 miles, etc.).

Back to watching the Comptech cars . . . I mean, back to work. I wonder if they're hiring test drivers???

 

Yeah, right. After a few trips above 6000 rpms, you're going to want more. Much more.
