Default 460 gram shift knob?!?

http://www.twmshiftknobs.com/shiftknobs/m1...shiftknobs.html

You guys think its worth buying and living with everyday? It would take away the nasty vibrations that the OEM knobs are prone to but I fear it may be TOO heavy for daily use.

Opinions?

Get the Voodoo knob from Rick's. Same shape, lower price, great feel. VERY livable on a daily basis because it sits lower than stock making for shorter shifts. Wasted alot of money on knobs before finding this one!

From my experience, the heavier knobs are the best. I've done the gammit and lighter than OEM doesn't not seem to do well out of neutral stick. Heavier knobs have a much smoother throw.

Go for it and give your review.

The Voodoo knob is top shelf IMHO;I've found nothing better in 35 years of driving manual trans cars

All thats available in the Voodoo knob is aluminum, though. Which means its going to be lighter than stock. I think the point of this thread is to discuss the weight of the knob that the OP linked to.

Well, I have something to contribute: I have used weighted shift knobs in the past of different vehicles - it helped greatly in the notchy tranny like mitsus to help with "harder" shifts. On the hondas I have used them on (EG, DC2, DB8) they are much smoother and require less effort...

Also, TWM is quite expensive for some reason - their shifters etc cost a lot, no idea why. Thats a lot of money for a weighted knob

Sorry for the shameless plug: If you want a weighted knob, I have one new Razo drift spec knob new in box for sale. I had bought 3 for all of my cars and I don't plan on installing this one in my EK as I am selling it. Per my research, its the best one in the market and is 3 way height adjustable and weighs 472 grams (over 1 lbs) and costs a nit less. Please PM me...

I have the A6 Leopard shift knob from TWM. I love it, and it weights a little over a pound! (485g) I found the shifts to be shorter, (it is counter-sunk) and looks great! I have seen ricks and arc shift knobs and although I like those, I much prefer my TWM knob. If anybody wants I can post pictures of mine.
