Default 4.77 gear help

Ok, so I've researched the forums over and over..and nobody ever really gives answers. I'm looking into the Kia 4.77 gears. I know people have them installed on this forum, but how many miles have you been running them if you have them installed? Does it affect engine life? Are the chances greater that those Kia gears would blow since they were made for a high 100 HP car when an S2k is 240 HP. Any help would be appreciated before I purchase these. Thanks.

Not sure if this will help or not, but I got mine from Joe @ Ganley.. they did mine and I've had no problems... love them.. put 3k miles on them already in 2 months

I posted my impressions and thoughts on the gears... if you are looking for technical information, you probably aren't going to find much in the thread though... just an fyi..

Nice write up, everytime I hear one it reminds me I need to save up for this mod. It sounds like everyone that gets the gears really enjoys them.

Mocky did you get the KIA gears, it says you got them from a honda dealership?

Thanks Mocky for the reply. Anyone have experience on installing these yourself? How did the highway driving go anyways? Wish someone has had these in for a few yrs. to see how they are holding up...
