Default 3M Clear Bra?

This morning I was driving down I-75 in the left lane trying to get around a dump truck that was in the middle of three lanes. All of a sudden there was a bit of a bump in the interstate and I heard a whole bunch of pebbles slam into the front of my car from the damn dumptruck. I was so pissed. This is the last straw. I need to do something before my bumper goes to hell. There's so much construction in my area that there's always a ton of dumptrucks spilling crap all over everyone's cars.

So, I've always hated the black leather bras, I think they're ugly and I've seen them cause damage to paint when dirt and rocks get trapped underneath. I would like to hear some feedback on the 3M clear bra I've heard about on here before. I tried searching, but the search function on here doesn't work to well yet. I would like to know if the bra is really as "invisible" as they say it is. Can you see the seem on the hood or anything? How is it installed? Is there a possibility of dirt or anything getting trapped beneath? How do you wax the bumper after it's installed? Anyone who has some up close pics, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Ryan

My 3M clear bra has been on for over 3 years. You cannot even tell that it is on unless you get real close.

The thing has saved the front of the car!!!!

If you get one make sure that it goes all the way up above the headlights.

I wouldn't be without one.

Mine is the one closest to you. You can see where the bra ends.

Once again, my car is the one at the end closest to you.

From this angle you can't even tell there is a clear bra on the car!

It does seem to stay pretty well hidden. Is it difficult to install or remove?

Remove I have no idea. Mine will probably stay on forever.

It was a custom install by a guy who does NSX'. I wouldn't attempt trying to do it by yourself. Go to someone who does very high end cars for the best results.

i attempted to apply a clearbra myself but could never get it right. it is a bitch to do. even if you get all the bubbles/wrinkles out, you have to be real careful not to press to hard and 'dent' the material. i ended up throwing it out an plan to get it done professionally after i get my bumper resprayed.

Clearbras are awesome. I've had a couple now and they have saved the car from numerous dings - especially on cruises/runs where there is alot of stuff kicked up.

The sooner you put one on the better, as the existing chips tend to stick out a bit.

How much does a professional install usually cost including materials?

Here is a good link to check about the 3M clear bra. The sooner you get it installed the better. I basically had mine installed before I ever drove the car. You'll only see the clear bra if you seriously try to look for it. Its a bit pricey but worth every penny.
