In order to get the Brembo's on the Z you will have to buy the Grand Touring model which has an MSRP of $36K so the price is higher on the Z as well.
After owning both the S feels fast than the Z. Even though the Z has 60 hp on the S.
Like stated above drive both and you'll see what we are talking about.

A good friend of mine and I cancled a trip to the Dragon on account of Monsoon like rain up there. We decided to look at cars instead. We both test drove a Mazda RX-8 and Nissan 350Z. Both of us thought the RX-8 was the best handling car we had ever driven. The 350's engine was excellent; smooth, powerful, torquey, yet still eager to rev. The problem was the handling. It just didn't grip as well or give as much feed back as the RX-8. Later that year, my friend bought an STi and I bought an S2000 a year later. The Z is a great car. If I had not driven an RX-8 before, I would have thought it handled well. However, the S2000 is more fun to drive because it's lighter and more responsive. If torque and grunt are more your thing, the Z might be the way to go.

One of the biggest shortcommings of the Z is that it's based on the same FM platform as an SUV, so it handles like an SUV, heavy and awkward. And with the extra HP comes the extra wieght, so in s straight line they're even. On the track though, the S wins hands down.
