Because the real Rate is 4.49% for 60 months. The dealers have programs to buydown the rates. Depending on the indvidual 0% is available. It all depends, that why stating the ACTUAL rate is really pointless.
Dealers can purchase lower rates from banks, but somewhere or another the customer is going to pay for it.There is something wonderful about simple interest - you can pay more monthly and knock out quite a bit of the acrued interest - even pay your car off sooner! A half point in interest on a car is not like a house, it really does not make a payment/residual go up much.
