I was just wondering if it is hard for you guys to chirp your tires going into second.
After having my car serviced for the 1st to 2nd gear grind, I have a hard time chirping the tires. It feels like I am spinning them, but I don't hear the chirp all the time.

I don't think my tires have ever spun or chirped going into second gear. The tires are basically new and the car has less than 2,000 miles on it which may have something to do with it. It feels much stronger going into third than second.

I would have to say that when autocrossing (on stock tires) I usually catch a bit of second during my 1 - 2 shift, depending on the course. This is with the original clutch before the 1-2 grind fix.
It will be interesting to see with the fix and new clutch. Hopefully the new clutch will grab at least as good!

Chirping is cool, but you are probably spinning tires more than usual to chirp, done anything to put out more power?
Since the ATS final gear change and Toda flywheel and Mugen Clutch plate, I don't get chirp since I get quite a bit of tire spin when shifted into 2nd.
Probably colder than usual road can also let's you spin more.

I bet you chirp them all the time. You can feel it you just can't hear it. I know when I do it that it isn't the clutch spinning, I can feel the tires move. But it never fails, if you redline first and pull quick to second you sould spin the tires. I've ment to bring this up because it is pretty weird.
