Man that claims is false. No reason for me to argue with you. Everyone go own a vehicle with a 2JZ-GTE and then get back on this thread. I've owned both and can tell you a 2JZ-GTE is the cheaper way to make a car fast.
S2000 with a 2JZ is far better way making the S2000 fast for whatever street racing or 1/4 track.
Shit show me an S2000 running 9 seconds in street form. I don't have to list names, Supra's have done it all day long.
I owned the S2000, i though a turbo would cover my need for a faster car, even though when I bought the S2000 i knew that the S2000 was not a fast car it was a fun car. I sold the S2000 to fill the need to have a fast car. Hence, IS300 with 720hp.

don't get me wrong, the 2jz is an incredible motor and makes tremendous power. It is relatively bulletproof. I have the upmost respects for the motor and know it inside out. But in the s2000, the f20c can make significant power and be very competitive with a 2jz street car. S2000s are not in the 9s because of drivetrain problems, not power problems. Going back to my statement, that the benefit of the transmission out weights the power gain.
You make some good power and your motor. Let me ask you a question: what boost levels do you make 720 at the wheels?
thats my graph on my smaller turbo still on conservative boost. We will be switching out to a larger turbo and turning up the boost. Unfortuantely we continue to experience traction problems which limits us right now, but that will soon change.

that is insane, I just dont know what to say about it. I mean cool idea, but it just looks wrong in there to me, but since it isnt the s2k motor i guess that is kind of expected.

As a former S2K owner and on my 2nd Supra, maybe soon to be 3rd I have to say this swap is awesome! I love the S2K for its stiff chasis and handling and I love the Supra for its bulletproof drivetrain and raw power. The Supra drivetrain in the S2K provides TORQUE, as well as gobs of high end power. I would image serious traction problems to say the least. My Supra with only about 450rwhp spins all through 1st and 2nd unless I run drag radials. Whomever said 8 grand to do this swap is way off. A used transmission alone (Getrag) is about 3 grand. A TT motor with stock twins(JDM is about 3-4 grand) plus the driveshaft, going single(big turbo, manifold, downpipe, exhaust, wastegate, blow off valve, front mount intercooler), fuel system, engine management, rear diff, fabrication, labor, e.t.c. You will be over 20 grand in before the car is even running.
So yes a cool swap but a very expensive one to say the least.
Jeff
Edit: P.S. Noticed the radiator hose is non existent, so this car probably hasn't run yet. The horsepower #'s maybe just what was quoted as a Supra makes with this set-up. Need to see video of it running and a dyno to prove otherwise.

of course you cant throw in jsut rods and pistons in to floating sleevs. if you sleeve it it will make it comparable to your cast iron block. and there was a 850+hp f20 on a magazine in anycase f20 lacks the torque that the 2j can produce.
