This is the first and only S2000 in the world with a 2JZ engine swap. Many think it could not be done, but the guys (Bryan and Mike) from Fifty Fifty Racing proved them all wrong. This is truely a piece of art, considering all the custom work that went into building this BEAST. Our hats are off to these guys. Bryan from Fifty Fifty has built some very high horsepowered Supra's in his day, along with a few turbo'd Honda S2000's, he thought "why don't I combine them and get the best of both worlds" He pulled his 2.0 out and next thing you know 2JZ, well not really, The custom work that has gone into this monster has been beyond belief. Everything from the motor mounts, transmission, radiator, clutch, you name it and it has either been customized or changed. The numbers that this Methanol Injected S2000 put down are truely impressive. 900RWHP! Oh yeah, guess what, there is another one in the works, it is Yellow and the boys from Fifty Fifty plan to out do themselves with it.

720 hp is 720 hp. It doesn't matter if you have 250 lb-ft or 550 lb-ft of torque.
yes but a having 720hp and 550lb-ft of torque and another same car having 720hp with 250lb-ft of torque which one is faster assuming both have more than adequate traction?
yes hp is hp and tq is tq i know...

^^^ To assume that any street car with 720hp and 550lb-ft of torque will not have traction problems is definitely out of the norm. I have seen boosted S2K's with traction problems.

In an ideal world, your assumption and point woud be obvious but there are so many variables with street cars and so few that can make this amount of power useful that I really do not see a mis-match and would have a hard time choosing the faster car based upon what you posted above.

So basically what everyone is trying to say is...

Is it practical or money smart to swap a 2JZ into the S? No

The F20 and 22c can both make alot of power if done correctly and for much less than 20k or more needed to make a high hp 2JZ swap. I say high hp cause if your not going high hp than what the hell is the point?

Is it a cool idea and is the car freakin gnarly... Yes.. Those who owns shops and have cash to throw around to make stuff like that S, which in turn will advertise and help their shop, kick ass, well done! For the normal S2k owner it would be stupid. You want more power, get boost...

i think its stupid to label this kind of project as "impractical" or "pointless". no one was saying this when people were putting an s2000 motor in an AE86, or in the elise. its all for fun and people do it because they can; i sure as hell know that i would love a 2JZ S2000. best of both worlds: 700whp on stock bottom end, in a car that (i think) still weighs under 3000lbs.

dang... not really impressed with the high HP or what not ... more impressed with the ingenuity and all the effort/fabrication that went into getting this kinda thing done...

it's like... if we could graft wings to pigs so they could fly... it'd be weird and out of place... but a bio-engineering marvel!...

this is like a pig that can fly... from a technical point of view... not a practical one... a very VERY FAST pig that can fly... drag beast!!!!

Why is it stupid to label it impractical? And I never said it was stupid... For an average S2k owner, it wouldn't be smart... Impractical doesn't mean it wouldn't be fun or its a dumb idea.

ok scale it down. 200hp 100lb-ft tq and 200hp 200lb-ft tq drag strip. well heated slicks. there is n obvious winner here.
me haha!
j/k the 200-200 car.
