Honda's initial show car for the bumper some months ago was an AP1. The brochure linked above is an AP2 (or perhaps an AP1 facelift being Japanese).

As I understand it the shaved metal beam is required to fit an AP2 bumper to an AP1 as it hugs the body-line so closely. It is entirely possible that the new bumper has enough clearance to suit any year isn't it?

edit: the brochure notes 'length is about 24mm longer' so this is plausible

They attached to the splash guard under the car.

I just ordered the lighting and radio door from MITA too. Didn’t want to miss out. Shame that bumper only fits an AP2.

Unsure whether you saw my post a few lines above(?)
Do you know for sure that it only fits an AP2? Seems strange given the Tokyo show-car Honda used with the bumper was an AP1.

There's already an article out there that states the front bumper is specifically designed for AP2. (I'll link it if I can find it again)

I ordered the suspension from MITA. I do not need them now but will replace the OEM units with "new OEM" units down the road...did not see the part about a 4 month wait, damn really???

I thought about the 20th anniversary S2000 parts. Since everything is out of stock, with 4-5 month ETA and some parts have quantity purchase limits, I will not be ordering any of these parts. Please don't contact me about ordering these parts, I have about 25 people asking me about them now.

I've emailed several vendors trying to find someone that will import the bumper. MSRP is ~$860 which means dealer cost is somewhere around 5-600. MITA is wanting $1100 plus another 500 to ship which is insane to say the least. If any vendors out there are looking to make a sale, im looking for FOUR front bumpers shipped to Atlanta, Ga OR the Port of Savannah. Pickup can be at any major shipping hub in Georgia.

Just ordered the LED interior light kit. On the fence but still considering trunk lip.
