2008 S2000 Type S?

Would be impossible to completely be the CR with a soft top. The rear strut bar would block the area that the soft top goes in.
CR is stiffer than the Type S. Even in the spring rates although I'm too lazy to pull up where I found that before.

TypeS is a base model with revised suspension (though not was hardcore as CR's), aero kit, fabric seats, and other CR interior stuff. TypeS retained the soft top, and hence can't have the rear brace. I'm not sure whether the TypeS received the AP1 steering ratio and weight reduction (e.g. sound deadening, not deleting the A/C and radio) treatment.

This just reinforces my believe that everything the Japanese send us is kinda just a watered down version of what they get to keep. Some sort of inside joke for them or something

Actually, it's more like the other way around. The Type S is a watered down version of the USDM-only CR.
but i guess, it is what it is!

As for the type S interior compared to the CR interior. The only thing that the type S has, are the seats, door panels and shift knob. Everything else is identical to the non-CR 06-08 AP2's.
