Thinking of getting 2008 Red seats for my 2002 red interior. Is the red of the 2008 seats the same as the red of the 2002? Are the rails different/ can I just swap it in if I have the correct rails/bracket from the 2008?

The seat design is different on the AP1 and AP2s but as far as the rail design and color I'm not sure.

 

you will have issues with the seat rails. the seat rails on the 06+ are different because of the additional sensors that in the seat rails for the airbags

You will have a few obstacles in the way but I'm pretty sure you can do it. There's a DIY somewhere on this.

 

i have 08 seats in my MY00 all you do is swap your rails/all hardware onto the 08 seats, very simple.

 

From pictures, it looks like the 08 red is darker and less shiny than the ap1s.
